On April 22nd, the CAS Service Excellence Award ceremony took place in Seattle. Several Boeing Canada-AeroInfo employees were selected as top honors recipients of the 2014 CAS Service Excellence award for their contributions as part of the Boeing team that developed and deployed the Boeing Mobile Appliance, a secure wireless network for remote data distribution. It’s used to deliver data from the Digital Airline Data Factory here at Boeing Canada-AeroInfo onto iPads used by mechanics at multiple maintenance sites.

Members of the CAS Senior Leadership team presented the trophy to team members. This award is given to a select few: The team was one of only 18 teams that were selected for the award, out of 68 nominated teams.

The award recognizes the contributions of teams who have made a profound and innovative contribution to the success of the CAS—and delighted airline customers in the process. To even be considered for the award, a team must deliver consistently great results and exemplary performance. The award represents a significant honor for the team and for Boeing Canada-AeroInfo. By successfully and securely delivering data to the mobile devices of mechanics in the hangar, our employees exemplified Boeing Canada-AeroInfo’s commitment to quality and innovation.
